I'm so very excited for my photography now. I went out and got an actual, substantial camera. My Canon XSi is now my little baby. She is so perfect & beautiful. *Yes, I just personified my camera. Maybe I'll have her name by the end of this* I've always been told that my shots with a normal point&shoot camera we're really good, lets just keep our fingers crossed that they are just as good, if not better on this camera.

All I have is the standard lens for her, but I'm wanting to get a zoom, macro, & fish-eye ones too. I finally got to really use her yesterday when the boyfriend & I went to the zoo. We probably looked like the perfect couple with out matching cameras. I'm in the process of getting those on the computer, so I'll be having a few new shots up on here...

I'm also going to be taking my friend Zach's senior pictures on Sunday. I'm really excited, but pretty nervous because I don't have much experience doing portraits and shots that involve people. I'm really happy he's trusting me with this though.

That zoo trip was very eventful compared to past trips. There weren't very many people there, and the animals were really, really active. Our lions were up next to one of the fences sitting, staring, and almost posing for the camera. We also had a little encounter with a raccoon on the way out. Andy & I were passing by the tiger exhibit one last time, and I caught something out of the corner of my eye. It ended up being a raccoon perched on a rock between one of the tiger fences and the red panda exhibit. Luckily a zoo volunteer passed by and we let them know.

I'm also so pumped for this fall. I've finally enrolled in school after taking a 2 year break after high school. I'm heading to Ivy Tech for a degree in Photography. Possibly a minor in Baking & Pastry Design. So....YES!

I could dance around for hours I'm so happy.
